UN Nepal Gorkha is supporting to Ekikaran Nepal Gorkha 10 Rupees campaign which has a mission to construct international Training center and museum in Gorkha. As started from Gorkha, one of the districts loaded with glorious history and tourism potentilities. One can enjoy the joyous blend of Mountain, Hills and Terain at a single place. We are recognized by VC Gaje Ghale and many others worldwide. Lakhan Thapa, Bhimsen Thapa and Bise Nagarchi were our precious heroes . The district of Goddess Manakamana, Kalika and magnificient Gorkha palace. Numerous herbs are there on the lap of mount Manasalu and the Ajirkot, Sulikot and Ligligkot are peeping us from the summit.
But what an irony, the visiting students get back to Pokhara or elsewhere for their nightstay.Tourists prefer to hold back at Pokhara but hardly turn up Gorkha. Goddes Kalika get angry as tourist for Manasalu prefer the route of Arughat but not Gorkha. There is no doubt of the reasons behind these all are poor promotion and advertisement of these places . Nearly 50,000 students each year visit Gorkha but hardly 20 percent of themy make their night stay at Gorkha. Hardly 2 percent of totala tourists each year pay thir visit to Gorkha.Most of the trinings, seminars and workshops are organised in Pokhara, Sauraha, Nagarkot and Dhulikhel but Gorkha holds such great potentialities as equally as those venues. Gorkha seems to remain as a touristic destination for a long run. Number of regional trainings are organised in Bangkok,Singapur, Malaysia and UAE too but we can develop such venues here in Nepal as well which eventually will draw handsome revenue for our country itself followed by our sincere and devoted facilitation.
In collaboration with other provinces, Unification Nepal has envisioned a humanitarian and benevolent job to extend a positive message globally as an evidence of our communal efforts.
The Purpose of 10 Rupees Campaign :
- To enhance humanitarian skills and capacity by the facilitation of trainings of international stndard through establishment of International Resource centre and a Museum.
- To revive original culture, history of Shah dynasty, ethnic culture , traditons and customs and eventually to our eastern
- To, at least, create employment opportunities for 300 people.
- To contribute to national development by the promotion of domestic and external tourism in Gorkha.
